Every once in a while a product comes along that can be meaningful to many people and market segments. It all started when “PetJellies” founder Bob Rubin was visting his dentist. On the reception counter was an aquarium with what Bob thought were real Jellyfish. He stared and stared at these dancing Jellies until his concentration was broken with… “they’re not real and the dentist is ready for you”.

That night he went on line and found like items that were available but found no retail or market presence. Why had he never seen or heard of these before? He immediately arranged for manufacturing and within days was creating his own Jellyfish product. He wanted to personify these (silicon) creatures and “Sam” and “Sophia” Pet Jellies were born.
